Brief Description:
The Sr. Analyst, Clinical Outsourcing will manage the outsourcing and contracts management process for Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ clinical development programs. S/he must have a comprehensive understanding of functions related to the conduct of global clinical studies. Under the direction of the Associate Director, Clinical Outsourcing, s/he is responsible for the contract negotiations and maintenance, financial management processes, and vendor assessment and onboarding processes in support of Jazz’s clinical studies:
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Assist team members in the management of the outsourcing, vendor selection and clinical contracts process.
- Negotiate and Maintain clinical development contracts, including CDAs, MSAs, Work Orders, Consultant Agreements and specialty vendor contracts.
- As required, oversee CRO or Functional Service Provider (FSP) in the development of budgets and partner with clinical operations to ensure budgets are in line with study protocols.
- Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams; R&D, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and Finance in executing contracts.
- Develop, Maintain and analyze tracking tools (spreadsheets, smartsheets, databases, etc.), attend team meetings as appropriate; CTWG and CRO meetings.
- Provide guidance and direction to new outsourcing team members and R&D teams on outsourcing, legal, and procurement processes.
- Oversee the central R&D contract and purchase requisition request process.
- Assist management with special projects.
- Coordinate and arrange outside meetings, prepare agendas, and meeting logistics.
- Submit purchase requisitions and new vendor requests through SAP and Coupa systems.
- Conduct training sessions for the contract request and procurement processes.
- Willingness to learn and comply to international clinical pharmaceutical standards, ICH/GCP guidelines and regulatory compliance.
- Strong interest in learning more about contracts and budgeting in support of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ clinical trials.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Some limited travel may be required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Three to five years or experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry in clinical outsourcing and/or contracts management.
- Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills in a dynamic and growing organization.
- Working knowledge of clinical trial functions, including clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, regulatory and drug safety.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
